About the Conversion

The conversion to LPG is a relatively simple process. It involves adding an extra tank for the gas, some pipework, an extra ECU and a changeover switch (located within reach of the driver). The gas system runs in parallel with the existing petrol fuel system, and you can switch between either fuel at the touch of a button with the changeover switch.

Sequential Injection

EasternLPG only fit the latest multi-point Sequential Injection system to modern vehicles (older carburetted engines usually require a single-point injection system). It works by squirting a small amount of gas sequentially into each cylinder, in the same manner as the petrol system, fully under the control of your vehicle's engine management system to ensure the lowest emissions, best performance and outstanding fuel economy. You can find out more here.

Tanks

Tanks are available in many shapes and sizes, the most common being cylindrical (torpedo) and toroidal (doughnut). Cylindrical tanks are ideal for fitting in the boot or under the sills of larger vehicles, and toroidal tanks can be safely hidden where your spare wheel currently lives. We can even supply a replacement space-saving spare tyre...

Filler Cap

The filler cap is the only component visible from the exterior of the car. It is normally located next to the petrol cap or in the bumper, and we are able to offer a tow-bar mounted version. We can colour co-ordinate the filler cap to your paintwork or even incorporate the filler beneath the petrol cap on some vehicles for greatest asthetic appeal.
